This has become my go to for Chinese delivery lately. There are a couple other places I order from when the Chinese craving hits, but I can't get past this Basil Chicken Hot Pot that they serve here.
This is not your typical small strips of dried Chicken flowing in soupy bland broth. This dish takes it to a whole another level.  The chicken is large flat strips of juicy, tender chicken with a sauce that is to die for. A lil spicy, but I like it hot!
I really am a fan of this place as the cuisine has a better variety than most places. They even have sesame balls (love) which means for me that hates driving in our fabulous LA traffic , I don't have to make a trip to China town. They also have a small selection of Dim Sum & one other favorite BBQ Pork, off the bone is off the hook!
Everything we have had here has been very fresh and delicious. The owner sounds and seems very nice on the phone. I'm sure he is in person as well, which I think ompfs up any business.
    Happy eating guys!

I called to place an order and they told me it was going to take 15-20 min. I called one min later to cancel the order because we didn't realize it was gonna be over $50 of food.

We ordered 3 different items. When I called to cancelled they said "oh the foods already done and on the counter. Why are you wasting my food when it's done?" I asked them why did you tell me it was 15-20 min?... they reply we give that approximate time because we don't know how long it will take and it only took 5 min. I can't believe that the food was made that fast. I definitely don't think it would've been great quality for $50 being made in less than 5 min.

People that are old fashion culture are so rude and talking to customers like that. If they don't want to waste food then maybe they should have customers pay before placing the order.

Maybe others reading my review won't agree with me in my situation but I just think it was so ridiculous for the food to be done in less than 5 min. But I wouldn't consider coming or ordering from this business. There's other Chinese food i can try.

My fiancé and I have been here a few times and it never disappoints! This family owned restaurant always hits it out of the park with their service and food.

There's plenty of metered street parking. We've never had to wait for a table which is always nice.

+ Wonton Crisps - 10/10 - delicious fried wonton paper "chips". So good.

+ Hot and Sour Soup - 9/10 - so good. The perfect balance of hot and sour.

+ Combo Fried Rice - 10/10 - no shortage of meat in this dish. It includes beef, chicken and shrimp. So good!

+ Sesame Chicken -  10/10 - the chicken was so crispy and not overly saucy.

Overall everything is always so good here. This will continue to be our go to spot for Chinese!

Meeting my buddies for lunch and wanted to try someplace new for us. We had heard good things about Shanghai bistro. No problem getting a table. Only one other group was eating at 12:30. Our server was to the table almost immediately with the menus and glasses of water.
I decided to go with one of the luncheon specials, hot and sour soup followed by garlic shrimp ($9). The hot sour soup was very tasty and quite spicy. Maybe a little bit too much for the gringo palate But I really enjoyed it. The garlic shrimp had a star next to it indicating that it too was spicy. However I found it pretty mild. Also came with a spring roll which was very very good Overall very tasty dish especially when accompanied by fried rice. Lots of metered street parking available. Also a small parking area behind the restaurant.

I used to order from this place at least once a month but not anymore. The food is usually good. That's not the problem. The problem is the last time I got delivery the delivery driver demanded a 9$ tip.
I was going to give a couple of dollars but not 9!! Also my food took an hour and 15 minutes. He said that my husband usually gives that much. Which is a flat out lie, I gave in and gave him 5$ but this place lost a really good customer because of a greedy delivery driver. He also said my house was outside of the 5 mile limit. Which is also just not true we are 4.1 miles away. Honestly we used to order from here a lot. But they just lost a very good customer. Never ordering from here again.
